"What's Killing Blue Whales? (Mazdak.de)"
A multi-national group of five underwater sea divers named "Team Awesome" traveled to Sri Lanka to film Blue Whales. Within in their first two days they discovered a Blue Whale and multiple Sperm Whales; but during their third day at sea; they discovered an awful sight: a dead Blue Whale. The whale, had been struck by a super tank towards it's rear fin and died! In Sri Lanka alone this year; six Blue Whales have been found dead... the Blue Whale is an endangered species and cannot take much more of these accidental collisions. Here in the U.S., shipping lanes have been moved out further into sea to avoid these accidents. But there is still some work to be done! ALSO CHECK OUT

"Solving The Storage Problem. Is Wind Power The Solution?"
In this hyper-activity-electronical world, we want electricity "now"! But what most people don't realize, is that it's not that easy. For example our greatest form of energy storage (for now) are power plants, which can be expensive and extremely dangerous if an accident were to occur. (Rare, but possible.) Alternative forms of power are wind turbines and solar panels. The problem with wind turbines is: THEY ONLY WORK WHEN THE WIND BLOWS! And the problem with solar panels is: THEY ONLY WORK WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING! Get the picture? If we could find a more efficient way to use these two alternative "fuel sources" we could cut energy cost, and make it easier on the environment. Check out these two compelling pieces (http://video.pbs.org/video/2289291942/) & (http://video.pbs.org/video/2289327437/) via NOVA/PBS
